McConnell’s very own Keeper

Miniature Keeper of the Plains are displayed throughout the city of Wichita, Oct. 13, 2020. The original Keeper of the Plains is a 44-foot tall sculpture, which was designed by Native American artist Blackbear Bosin in 1974. McConnell Air Force Base is hosting a competition for artists to submit their own Keeper design. The Keeper will be displayed on the installation in early 2021.
