Airmen from the 931st Civil Engineer Squadron were recognized by Col. Mark S. Larson, 931st Air Refueling Wing commander, for their work on renovations to the 931 ARW Main Conference Room April 2, 2017, McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. The offices were renovated as part of the expansion of the 931 ARW, on behalf of the 22nd Air Refueling Wing. The renovations, which began last month, will enable Wing leadership to better coordinate with their 22 ARW mission partners, increasing overall mission effectiveness. The two-day course included all commanders, superintendents and civilian leaders from each squadron in the wing. The course is aimed at helping leaders maximize the talent and human potential of their people, while also enhancing leadership communication.

During an official session, Sen. Dan Goddard, Kansas State Senate District 15, presented a Senate Resolution honoring the 924th Air Refueling Squadron March 30, 2017, Topeka, Kan. The 931st Operations Group will stand up the 924th Air Refueling Squadron in an official ceremony scheduled April 2, 2017. It is the first squadron in the Air Force dedicated to the KC-46A Pegasus. The 931st Civil Engineer Squadron began renovating its new main conference room in Building 1 this past week, at McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. The office is one many features being renovated as part of total force integration expansion effort between the 931st Air Refueling Wing and the 22nd Air Refueling Wing. The renovation will enable wing leadership to better coordinate with the 22 ARW to increase the overall effectiveness of their mission. It will also enable Building 1 to function not just as headquarters to the 22 ARW, but to the 931 ARW. Another notable feature of the team renovation project includes a new sign that will designate Building 1 as the headquarters building for both the 931 ARW and the 22 ARW. It is expected to be showcased at the front of the building sometime later this month.
