This Saturday, April 14, the 22nd Force Support Squadron will be hosting the 20th annual Family Festival of Fun in celebration of the Month of the Military Child. The event will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Dole Center.

Families can expect a lot of free activities, free food, door prizes and demonstrations.

“With a lot of events happening indoors, the event will go on regardless of weather,” said Mary Reece, 22nd Force Support Squadron Airmen and Family Readiness Center flight chief. “This is a great time to show our military kids what they do to help support the mission.”

The 22nd Security Forces Squadron, 22nd Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordinance disposal flight and fire department will provide K-9 and robot demos along with Humvee, fire truck and police car ride alongs. There will also be paintball target stations, craft stations, a farm animal display, pony rides and much more.

“Last year, it was awesome to take the day to celebrate the kiddos and the sacrifices they make as a military child,” said Maj. William Watson, 931st Air Refueling Wing safety chief. “They’ve been asking me when the next party on base is going to be ever since.”

A free lunch will be provided from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Signatures Lounge.
