MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. --

The 2018 Combined Federal Campaign kicked off for Team McConnell on Oct. 10. The campaign will be available through January 11.

Established in the early 1960s to promote and support philanthropy, the organization works on behalf of health and human welfare charitable organizations and allowing federal employees the opportunity to donate to more than 2,000 non-profit organizations.  The CFC is one of only two organizations authorized to solicit federal employees in the workplace.

The theme for the 2018 campaign is “Show Some Love.”

“Airmen should consider donating to the CFC because their contributions to the campaign can make a significant impact in the lives and communities around the world that greatly need assistance,” said Tech. Sgt. Yashika Sanders, 931st Air Refueling Wing point of contact.

In addition to providing financial support to a variety of charitable causes, the CFC is also about reaching out to Airmen and getting them involved.

"The main goal of CFC is 100 percent contact with our members," said Col. Eric Vitosh, 931st Air Refueling Wing commander. "It's for a great cause and it gives our Airmen a chance to make a positive impact in the life of someone whom they may not be able to help otherwise.”

Supporters can make donations through military payroll deductions, by cash or check.
