Air Force Reservists who returned from a deployment in the past 180 days or who will deploy between April and July may be eligible to attend one of two upcoming Yellow Ribbon Events in Texas and California.

Air Force Reserve Command will host a Yellow Ribbon event in Addison, Texas, just outside Dallas, March 21-23. A second Yellow Ribbon Event will take place March 28-30 at Garden Grove, Calif., which is located in Orange County.

Airmen and their loved ones must meet certain eligibility requirements to participate, which includes at least one of the following:

- Preparing for a deployment that will result in the separation of the member and loved ones

- Returned from a deployment and haven't attended a post-deployment event

- Returned from a deployment and attended one post-deployment event may attend an additional event

The event in California is three miles from theme parks and offers opportunities for great weather and fun, said Capt. Jeremy White, Yellow Ribbon Representative, 931st Air Refueling Group.

"It's going to be an exceptional opportunity to visit local attractions, the amenities in the resort and the surrounding area are superb," White said.

Eligible Airmen can sign themselves up by clicking on the Attendee Evite, and can sign up their guests by clicking on the Guest Link. The suspense to sign up for the California event is March 7.

To attend the Dallas Yellow Ribbon event click on the Attendee Evite and sign up guests through the Guest Link. The deadline to sign up for the Dallas event is Feb. 28.

Airmen from the Wichita area are encouraged to drive to Dallas to save the Air Force money as airline tickets may be more expensive flying out of Wichita.
