Final-Flight Freeze Down

Tech. Sgt. Greg Carron is ambushed by three of his fellow Airmen armed with water sprayers at McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., Saturday. Sergeant Carron had just finished his final flight as a KC-135 boom operator before retiring from the Air Force Reserve. The wet-down, a final-flight tradition for flyers, was postponed until he was close to indoors because of bitter-cold temperatures at the base. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Jason Schaap)
