Senior Master Sgt. Kurt Smith (on right) and his civilian boss, Randall Salyer, stand in the shop where Sergeant Smith started when he was hired at Global Engineering and Technology, Inc., ten years ago. Salyer is Global's president and Sergeant Smith has worked his way up to become Salyer's director of operations. Sergeant Smith is an engineering superintendent for the 931st Civil Engineer Squadron.
