Staff Sgt. Colin Gregory, an air refueling boom operator assigned to the 344th Air Refueling Squadron, works to loosen a chock that was frozen into place against the tire of a KC-135 Stratotanker on the flightline at McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., Feb. 23, 2015. Gregory was moving the chock as part of running a cargo loading checklist prior to loading the aircraft. A total force team of logistics personnel and air refueling boom operators from the active duty 22 ARW and Air Force Reserve 931st Air Refueling Group braved sub-freezing temperatures to load approximately 18,000 pounds of cargo onto the aircraft in preparation for Red Flag. Red Flag is a large-scale military training exercise conducted at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. (U.S. Air Force photo by Capt. Zach Anderson)
