McConnell Reservists ‘fuel’ Thunderbirds’ mission

The U. S. Air Force Thunderbirds Air Demonstration Squadron, fly their F-16 Fighting Falcons in formation near the refueling boom of a KC-135 Stratotanker from McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., Sept. 3, 2015. Twenty-one Citizen Airmen graduated from a NCOLDC course, June, 9, 2017, at McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. During this course, the students received training from Air Force Reserve military facilitators who provided the Junior NCOs with tools needed to be the tactical leaders to accomplish Air Force mission. The course focused on NCO core competencies including employing military capabilities, individual readiness, managing organizations and resources, strategic thinking, leading people, effective communications and embodying airman culture.
