McConnell Reservists find ‘New Horizons’ in Guyana

The Berlin Airlift was a humanitarian airlift effort that broke the Soviet Union’s blockade of West Berlin, shattering previous airlift records. The operation was initiated by the U.S. Air Force, the Royal Air Force and other allied forces in 1948 after Soviet occupational forces cut off supply channels to West Berlin. ALS is a 24 duty day United States Air Force program designed to develop Airmen into effective front-line supervisors.
