Family Members of the 931st ARG,
On Nov. 2, at 2 a.m., is when daylight savings time officially starts (i.e. our clocks go back). Interesting enough, on that night there will be one of the most intense meteor showers ever with 15 per hour predicted between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.

Also, this is a good time to think about winter prep. Due to colder temps, your car tire pressure will go down about 4 pounds, so have your tires' air pressure adjusted to compensate so you are safe and get better gas mileage. Check your wipers and put in a wind shield solution that is rated for freezing temperatures. Additionally, disconnect water hoses so you don't crack your outside faucets.

Finally, be careful driving and don't take unnecessary risk coming to work or going anywhere else. No one in the 931st ARG is considered essential personnel for McConnell AFB when the roads are hazardous. Monitor radio and TV to see if the base is closed except for essential personnel. Even if the base is opened, your roads to the base may be too bad to drive on, so don't take the risk.

Finally, Finally, if you are stranded, don't sleep in a running automobile for heat as the carbon monoxide can kill you. Every year people die from this. Instead, have a couple of blankets/sleeping bags in your car for emergency use.

Finally, Finally, Really Finally, thank you for being a part of this unit and for what would do for our country. Thank your families for their support and hug someone special in your life today.

Humbly,
Col. Frye
