Maj. Toby Kennedy assumed command of the 931st Air Refueling Group Security Forces Squadron during a change-of-command ceremony conducted here today.

Kennedy replaces outgoing commander, Lt. Col. Edward Hunn, who will be taking a position at Scott Air Force Base, Ill.

Col. Mark S. Larson, commander of the 931st Air Refueling Group, presided over the ceremony.

"Lt. Col. Hunn was the first commander of this unit, and he is a part of their heritage.  I thank him for what he has done.  This squadron was just activated in October 2011, and has accomplished tremendous things under his leadership," said Larson.

In assuming command, Kennedy will become the second commander in the squadron's history, taking over a unit of more than 50 security forces Citizen Airmen.

"I am deeply honored and look forward to what the future holds for this squadron," said Kennedy.

"Major Kennedy is a proven asset and the best man for the job," said Larson.  "I know that under his leadership, the 931st Security Forces Squadron will continue to achieve success."
