MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. --  Members of the Air Force Reserve 931st Air Refueling Group's 18th Air Refueling Squadron, 931st Operations Support Squadron, and members of the Group staff pose with the Air Mobility Command Installation Excellence Award Trophy during a holiday celebration cookout here, Dec. 8, 2012.  McConnell Air Force Base was named Air Mobility Command's finalist for the 2013 Commander-in Chief's Installation Excellence Award in October, and will be inspected for the overall award in January. 

The Installation Excellence Award recognizes the efforts of the people who operate and maintain Department of Defense installations and who have done the best with their resources to support the mission.  The award encourages environments that promote innovate and creative ways of enhancing base-level services, facilities, and quality of life.

As Total Force partners with the host-unit 22nd Air Refueling Wing, the members of the 931st Air Refueling Group played a key role in McConnell being named the Air Mobility Command finalist for the award.
