The Thanksgiving holiday is an opportunity for each of us to pause and reflect on the many things in our lives for which we are grateful. One of our greatest blessings is the fact that all of us are citizens of the greatest country on earth and we all have the honor and privilege of serving and protecting the United States.

I am personally thankful to have the opportunity to serve alongside the individuals who make up the 931st Air Refueling Group. The commitment to duty and allegiance to country displayed by each of you truly demonstrates the best of what our nation has to offer. As Citizen Airmen, you play a vital role in the defense of our country and it is truly an honor to serve with you.

We at the 931st are also blessed with tremendous military families. The spouses, children, and loved ones who make up our support network all regularly make extraordinary sacrifices to allow us to serve. That family support is key to our success, and I cannot thank our families enough for their commitment and sacrifice.

This holiday as you gather together with family and friends, please take time to reflect on all that you have in your own life for which to be thankful. Keep in your thoughts our members who are deployed and cannot be with their families this holiday season. We look forward to their safe return.

As always, keep safety at the forefront during the holidays. Take time to prepare before you travel, and make sound decisions along the way. Please enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday to the fullest, and thank you, once again, for all you do to serve.
