931st commander issues Labor Day safety message Published Aug. 29, 2012 By Col. Mark S. Larson 931st Air Refueling Group Commander MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- The Labor Day weekend signifies the final holiday of the summer. For most of us it's an opportunity to enjoy a break from work and spend some extra time with family and friends. Many of you will take advantage of this time and go camping, hold barbecues, or travel. I encourage each of you to make the most of this occasion and enjoy the holiday to its fullest. However, as you do so please remember to keep safety at the forefront of your activities. Use proper planning, make sound decisions and look out for each other. Taking an extra moment to consider safety can be the difference between enjoying the holiday and having it end in a disaster. Whatever your plans may be this weekend, by practicing safety at all times you can ensure that you, your family, and your friends have a truly enjoyable holiday. As always, thank you for all you do and for your continued service to our country. Enjoy the holiday!
