Fifteen noncommissioned officers assigned to the 931st Air Refueling Group, McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., successfully completed the Air Force Reserve Command Noncommissioned Officer Leadership Development Course and were honored at a graduation ceremony held here today.

According to the Air Force Reserve Command Professional Development Center (AFRCPDC), the course is designed to provide first-line supervisors with hands on training in a Citizen Airman centric culture. The course combines college-level academic management and leadership instruction with a military practical, experiential hands-on application.

"The philosophy of this program is to heighten the students' awareness of the dynamics of leadership in the workplace, to provide mid-level enlisted personnel with an academic foundation in the basic principles of leadership and quality management, to encourage group and team development and to develop leadership and communication skills," said Senior Master Sgt. Pamela Summers, 931st noncommissioned officer in charge for Force Development.

Along with this training, students who successfully complete the course are awarded two college credit hours in management from a civilian institution.
