Black Friday sales and construction
Like many retailers outside the base, the Army Air Force Exchange Service opened to crowds the day following the Thanksgiving holiday. Despite construction to the McConnell Base Exchange, temporarily limiting floor space, AAFES employees were on hand to ensure Airmen and their families could take advantage of holiday sales.
