Members of the 931st Air Refueling Group returned to their families after a 60-day deployment to Turkey and Southwest Asia, Sept. 2.

About 80 Airmen who had participated in global operations arrived here on three separate flights to the welcoming arms of loved ones.

Senior Airman Kyle Brogdon, a maintainer with the 931st ARG spent the past two months ensuring the KC-135 Stratosphere aircraft flown by the group were able to conduct refueling missions over the Black Sea.

"Overall, it was a good deployment," said Brogdon, who is from Derby, KS. "The flight home was long, but I'm going to go have dinner tonight with my family. I'm glad to be home."

Staff Sgt. Brian Cobbler, a fuel cell maintainer with the 931st ARG said he was especially happy to return home.

Cobbler and his wife, Ashley, were married just two weeks prior to his departure for Turkey. The couple stayed in via web camera and e-mail.

"His deployment was really good because it allowed us to work on the core of our marriage," Ashley stated. "I look forward to whatever God has in store for us."
