Adkins is prime example of someone who models servant leadership. Whether it's tracking down a voucher number for a tuition assistance payment or following up with our point of contact at the VA to resolve Post 9/11 GI Bill issues, she always puts the customer first and will go out of her way to help our members any way she can. She also is one of the first to volunteer to help with group events or off-base projects. Currently serving as Vice President of the Human Resource Development Council, she was the POC for the 2010 Group Family Day event. Additionally, she spearheaded the efforts to get group personnel involved in the Salvation Army's distribution center , sorting and distributing Christmas gifts for the under privileged. The Group was able to provide 152 man hours of time to this worthy event. Sergeant Adkins continues to volunteer monthly at INTRUST Arena events to raise money to support HRDC projects like the Boys and Girls Club annual base visit, Group Family Day Events and the annual Children's Christmas Party. Her professionalism and selflessness are attributes we all should aspire to."
