Kansas reservists return from deployment

The 931st Air Refueling Group will welcomed 31 Airmen who  returned from Iraq and other parts of Southwest Asia.

Ten civil engineers from the 931st Civil Engineer Squadron and 21 maintenance and operations personnel from the 931st Maintenance Squadron and 18th Air Refueling Squadron were supporting Operation New Dawn while deployed to Iraq and Southwest Asia.

The 931st Air Refueling Group is an Air Force Reserve Command associate unit with the active-duty 22nd Air Refueling Wing at McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. More than 600 Airmen are assigned to the group. The 931st ARG shares responsibilities for aircraft maintenance, and flying operations with the 22nd ARW, using KC-135R Stratotankers. The 931st ARG is the first KC-135 associate tanker unit in the Air Force.
