Airmen of the Year

MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. --  Two KC-135 boom operators and a historian were selected as the 931st Air Refueling Group's 2009 Airmen of the Year. Selected were Master Sgt. John "Tex" Austin as Staff Noncommissioned Officer of the Year, Tech. Sgt. Scott Gaitley as NCO of the Year, and recently-promoted Staff Sgt. Gregery Brashier as Airman of the Year. Sergeant Gaitley is the 931st ARG historian. Sergeant's Austin and Brashier are assigned to the 18th Air Refueling Squadron, the 931st's flying unit.
