Final Flight Ambush Published Jan. 9, 2010 MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- Tech. Sgt. Greg Carron is ambushed by three of his fellow Airmen armed with water sprayers at McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., Saturday. Sergeant Carron had just finished his final flight as a KC-135 boom operator before retiring from the Air Force Reserve. The wet-down, a final-flight tradition for flyers, was postponed until he was close to indoors because of bitter-cold temperatures at the base. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Jason Schaap)
