Pacific Refueling

McConnell Air Force Base, Kan. --  Senior Master Sgt. Ray Lewis directs a KC-135 Stratotanker boom to an Air National Guard F-15 Eagle over the Hawaiian Islands on Nov. 7. The aerial refueling demonstration was part of the 624th Regional Support Group's first ever Employer Support Flight at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii. Sergeant Lewis is assigned to the 18th Air Refueling Squadron, the flying unit of the 931st Air Refueling Group. He volunteered to support the Hawaii mission and a follow-on employer flight in Guam after the 452nd Air Mobility Wing at March Air Reserve Base, Calif., became in need of a boom operator.
