Reservists from the 931st Air Refueling Group were recognized for completing Airman Leadership School during a graduation ceremony here on Oct. 29.

Senior Airman Gregery Brashier, an inflight refueler assigned to the 18th Air Refueling Squadron, graduated as a "Distinguished Graduate" for ranking in the top ten percent of the class in academics, demonstrated leadership, and performance as a team player. His unit, the 18th ARS, is the flying unit of the 931st ARG.

The class' Academic Achievement Award went to Senior Airman Shaun Hargadine for demonstrating exemplary scholastic abilities in Professional Military Education. Airman Hargadine is an avionics technician assigned to the 931st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.

The third 931st graduate, Senior Airman Nathan Shelley, is a security forces member assigned to the Group's Mission Support Flight.

Airman Leadership School students spend five weeks focusing on three main curriculum: Profession of Arms, Leadership and Communication Skills. Approximately 30 Airmen are chosen for each session. Regular Force Airmen must complete ALS before they may be promoted to the rank of staff sergeant.

Airman Brashier credited his classmates dedication to teamwork for his success. "Without (them)," he said, "ALS would have been
harder than it was."
