The 931st Air Refueling Group will be having some officer vacancies in the near future. Col. Edsel "Archie" Frye Jr., the 931st commander, wants to give the Group's enlisted personnel the opportunity to apply for those positions through the Deserving Airman Commissioning Program.

The primary qualification for applicants is a four-year college degree from an accredited university.

If you have a degree, or are close to finishing one, and would like to pursue a commission, this is one avenue. A DACP board scheduled for December will be used to create a pool of qualified applicants. The deadline to have a package for the board will be close of business of the 931st unit training assembly in November.

The 931st Military Personnel Flight will advertise specific position openings. Anyone in the pool created by the DACP board will be given the opportunity to apply. Questions about putting together an officer package should be directed to Master Sgt. Debroada Cornelius in the MPF.

Airman interested in applying should contact Sergeant Cornelius and get started on the commissioning physical immediately, as this can take a while to accomplish.
