Champions Again: 931st golf team defends intramural title

MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. --  The 931st Air Refueling Group golf team successfully defended its championship title Friday, cruising through a final match against the 22nd Logistics Readiness Squadron team at Auburn Hills Golf Course in Wichita, Kan. Lt. Col. Greg Harney and Col. (retired) Ron Johnston birdied all but two of their first nine holes and defeated their 22nd LRS opponents after just 11 holes in match play. Both Harney and Johnston were part of the 931st teams that won previous championships in 2007 and 2004. A trophy presentation is scheduled here on Tuesday.
