Senior Airman Travis Reimer is a Newton, Kan., native who joined the Air National Guard unit at McConnell AFB in 2005. He joined the Air Force Reserve in 2007 after a base realignment and closure eliminated his job at the Guard unit.

Air Force job: Hydraulics Journeyman, 931st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron

Civilian job: Currently on active-duty orders with the 22nd Air Refueling Wing, the 931st's active-duty host unit at McConnell
