Tops in Blue coming to Wichita Published Jan. 21, 2009 MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- Tops in Blue, the Air Force's premeire entertainment showcase, is scheduled to perform in Wichita, Kan., on Feb. 3. Tops In Blue is an all-active duty U.S. Air Force special unit made up of talented amateur performers selected for their entertainment abilities. The group's current show, Deja Blue, is Tops In Blue's celebration of 55 years of giving audiences the best in family entertainment. Those who have already been to a Tops In Blue show know what to expect: incredible music, sparkling lights and costumes, and precision choreography. Deja Blue includes the best of Pop and R&B sounds, Country/ Western music, muy caliente Latin grooves and a moving tribute to our great nation that has been a tradition with Tops In Blue for the past 55 years. Each year, thousands wanting to be part of Tops in Blue compete in base talent contests. The most talented move on to higher levels of competition. The result is an elite group composed of 35 of the most talented vocalists, musicians, dancers, comedians, magicians, and dramatists worldwide. Known as the Air Forces' Expeditionary Entertainers; the group's main mission is to perform for military personnel and their families throughout the world.
