Spirit Spotlight: Tech. Sgt. Chastity Forrest

  • Published
Tech. Sgt. Chastity Forrest is a Garnett, Kan., native who was in the Topeka Air National Guard for ten years before transferring to the Air Force Reserve three years ago.

Air Force job:  Noncommissioned Officer in Charge of Aircrew Flight Equipment, 931st Operations Support Flight

Civilian job: I have the six year + plan for college. It's just so much fun. Actually I am almost done with my Bachelors in Business Administration (four more classes yeah!!!) and then I am off to nursing school for another two years. I am hoping to get into Butler for their extraordinary program. I work part-time for the Reserve and when I am not going to school, working or volunteering at church I am taking care of my two wonderful children.

What I'm reading: Who has time for that? I am currently reading Finance 301, Information Systems in Business and Organizations and don't forget Junie B. Jones (with my six-year-old son)

Favorite way to relax: Sit outside in my astonishing purple chair on a warm sunny day with good company and a big glass of iced tea (it has to be sweet) watching my kids play

Favorite movie: Billy Madison

Favorite sport: Softball

Favorite team:  K-State Wildcats!!!! GO BIG PURPLE!! Darren Sproles is my favorite player. He previously was a K-State running back from 2000-2004. He now plays for the Chargers as the shortest (but fastest) NFL running back. He's AWESOME!!

Most influential person in my life: My husband. I am not being cheesy either...he is a wonderful man who supports me in all of my decisions and is always there for me and my kids (except during hunting season and when K-state is playing on TV). He is smart, handsome and sorry ladies, he is taken.

Easiest way to annoy me: When they do not install blinkers on certain makes and models of cars. You would think the manufacturing company could get it right. Use your blinker people!!

What I'm listening to: "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz

If won $1 million I would: Pay off our house and my beautiful new car (thank you dear), build my wonderful father and stepmom (no she's not wicked) a new house, buy my mother-in-law the mustang she has wanted for so long, buy my grandmother a home so she can spend her money on the medication she needs, put money back for my kids college, donate to cancer research, and finally donate to some missionary efforts. That would take it all!! It goes so fast!!
