KANZA Warriors,

In this traditional season of thanks and giving, Col Vitosh, Chief Williams and I wish you and your families a healthy and happy 2020!

Last week culminated my first year in command and as a member of the Air Force Reserve.  What a year it has been!  I cannot thank each of you enough for all your hard work.  We now have 19 KC-46s on our ramp, far more than all other Air Force units combined.  In addition to assimilating a brand new aircraft, we have continued to maintain well above standards with the KC-135.  I am in awe at what 931st KANZA warriors have been able to accomplish given that today’s financial volatility coupled with global challenges have impacted every person in our wing.  I am thankful for all our civilian and Air Reserve Technicians who every day ensure we remain ready to go at a moment’s notice to answer our Nation’s call.  And I am humbled by our Traditional Airmen who continually commit themselves to service, reaffirming their oath to support and defend this great nation every time they don the uniform for another weekend of drill.  It is this commitment and the constant support our Airmen have from their full-time employers, communities, and more importantly their families, that makes the Air Force Reserve so special.

I ask you to take some time this holiday season to relax and recharge; we have a busy and exciting year in 2020, and we need all of you to do it!

Jen, Livie, Alexa and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year!
