McConnell Reservists deploy to Southwest Asia

A group of more than 20 McConnell Reservists board a KC-135 Stratotanker at McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., Feb. 8, 2015. The aircraft was operated by an aircrew from the Air Force Reserve 931st Air Refueling Group and was transporting the reservists to a unit deployment to at the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing. While deployed, aircrew and support personnel from the 931 ARG will fly aerial refueling missions, perform aircraft maintenance and fill other support roles.

MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. - -- Air Force Reservists from the 931st Air Refueling Group, McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., deployed to Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, April 8.

While deployed, aircrew and support personnel from the 931 ARG will fly aerial refueling missions, perform aircraft maintenance and fill other support roles while assigned to the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing.

"Air Force Reservists are critical players in ongoing operations overseas. I know our deployed Airmen will perform well and accomplish their mission. We are proud of their service and look forward to their safe return home," said Col. Mark S. Larson, 931 ARG commander.
