has been more than a month since the official opening of the new 931st Aeromedical Squadron facility, but for the Reservists who work within the walls, the luster certainly hasn't worn off.

"We love our new building, "said Master Sgt. Anneliese Barrier, 931st AMDS Health Services technician.  "Before, we had to fight for space, so this is so much more convenient."

The facility has more than triple the workspace of the old location.  It features a conference room, offices and more than 30 active workstations, enabling the unit's ability to provide for the medical needs of McConnell's 600 Reservists, said Barrier.

Though the unit's records room is still under construction, members, including Staff Sgt. Robert Blackburn, 931st AMDS Health Services technician, are enthusiastic about the convenience and independence provided by the new facility.

"[In our old facility] we only had about eight stations to work with, so this is really amazing for us."

The 931st AMDS facility is one of a variety of construction projects at McConnell as the unit prepares for its future KC-46A Pegasus program.
