The 931st Air Refueling Group will host an NCO Leadership Development Course for Air Force Reservists in grades of E-5 to E-6, assigned to the unit March 10 to 21.

The NCO LDC is worth two Community College of the Air Force credit hours and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools through Central Texas College. The program is coordinated through Air Force Reserve Command.

A combination of facilitators from Central Texas College and from AFRC units around the country will execute the course.

According to Tech. Sgt. Heath Stark, NCOIC of Education and Training, 931st ARG, so far 17 slots have been filled.

"We are allotted 25 slots and we met the minimum requirements to hold the course, and we still have eight available seats for NCOs who are interested," Stark said.

Some of the material the 10-day course covers includes management, leadership, military heritage, communication skills, and counseling with opportunities to practically apply the knowledge through scenario-based, role-playing exercises.

NCOs who are interested in applying for an available seat should request permission through their supervisors and have them contact the 931st ARG Education and Training Office.
