Abigail Klein 931st Air Refueling Wing Public Affairs MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- The 2016 Combined Federal Campaign kicked off at Team McConnell on Sept. 26. To accommodate with the monthly unit training assemblies, the campaign will be available to McConnell Reservists through the December UTA.“A lot of times, people just need repetition to hear about,” said 1st Lt. Brandon Blodgett, 931st Operations Support Squadron mission planning and the 931 ARW CFC point of contact. “That’s why each UTA from now until Dec. 2, I have asked all the 931st POCs to make sure they get out there and give people a chance to give.”The CFC campaign was established in the early 1960s to promote and support philanthropy.The organization works on behalf of health and human welfare charitable organizations and allows federal employees the opportunity to donate to more than 2,000 non-profit organizations.The theme for the 2016 campaign is “Show Some Love,” said Blodgett."Our main goal is 100 percent contact with our members," said Col. Mark S. Larson, 931st Air Refueling Wing commander. "It's for a great cause and it gives our Airmen a chance to make a positive impact in the life of someone whom they may not be able to help otherwise.”CFC representatives are hoping to exceed the 931 ARW’s 2015 year contributions of more than $2,500.
