931st supports McConnell BASH program
An aircrew from the 931st Air Refueling Group poses with a group of local landowners in front of a KC-135 Stratotanker at McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., Nov. 10, 2011. The 931st aircrew gave the local landowners a tour of a static aircraft display. The landowners were on base as part of McConnell's annual landowner's appreciation dinner. The event recognizes landowners who support McConnell's Bird Aircraft Strike Hazard Program, which uses humane methods to keep birds away from aircraft flight paths. Local landowners allow McConnell's border collie to scatter birds from their land, which helps to prevent bird strikes. (U.S. Air Force photo by 1st Lt. Zach Anderson)
