McConnell Reservist recevies Bronze Star
Lt. Col. Johnathan Jordan received the Bronze Star during an official ceremony Feb. 5, 2021, at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas. Jordan was presented the decoration, the fourth highest military honor, in recognition of his heroic actions after Iran launched 16 missiles at U.S. Forces in Iraq in January 2020. JB Charleston aircraft hits four millionth flight hour for C-17
An Airman from the 791st Airlift Squadron adjusts his harness on a C-17 Globemaster III above North Field North, S.C., Jan. 15, 2021. Joint Base Charleston hosted and executed a ceremonial flight of the C-17 to celebrate the airframe’s four-millionth flying hour. The event was a celebration of the accomplishment and a thank you to Airmen, industry partners and community leaders who made this possible.

Team McConnell takes the KC-46 on its first extended mission
Members of Team McConnell fly a KC-46A Pegasus above another KC-46 during an extended mission in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region on Oct. 23, 2020. This was the first time the KC-46 had flown an extended a self-sustained mission into the region. An F-22 Raptor, assigned to the 90th Fighter Squadron, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Ala., approaches the boom of a KC-135 Stratotanker assigned to the 128th Air Refueling Wing, Wisconsin Air National Guard, during Checkered Flag 21-1, Nov. 2, 2020. Nineteen members of the 931st Air Refueling Wing, the Reserve component at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas, participated in Checkered Flag, a large-scale aerial exercise hosted by the 325th Fighter Wing at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida. The exercise began Nov. 2, and ended Nov. 11.
