American Muscle Plane

A KC-135 Stratotanker taxis into a parking space at McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., May 20, 2013. The aircraft was operated by an aircrew from the Air Force Reserve 931st Air Refueling Group. Members of the Group returned home following a deployment to Southwest Asia, where they had spent two months conducted air refueling mission in support of ongoing U.S. overseas operations. The KC-135 Stratotanker provides the core aerial refueling capability for the U.S. Air Force, and has been performing in this role for more than 50 years. (U.S. Air Force photo by Capt.
