A collection of McConnell Air Force Base Honorary Commanders pose with an aircrew from the 18th Air Refueling Squadron, 931st Air Refeuling Group, McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., following an orientation flight. During the flight, the Honorary Commanders were able to observe air refueling training from the refueling boom pod of a KC-135 Stratotanker. The McConnell Air Force Base Honorary Commander program pairs local civic leaders with commanders from both the active duty 22nd Air Refueling Wing and the Reserve 931st Air Refueling Group at McConnell. The purpose of the program is to foster strong relationships between leadership at the base and civilian leaders in the local area. (U.S. Air Force photo by 1st Lt. Zach Anderson)
