A Coach's Best Friend

Ohio State fans were never hard to find during Coaches Tour 2009, a morale-boosting mission that brought NCAA football coaches to U.S. servicemembers overseas. Ohio State coach Jim Tressel even found an Air Force security forces dog named Bertha at Joint Base Balad, Iraq, who was happy to wear a token of appreciation from the coach. The dog's handler, Staff Sgt. David Tagliaferro, is an Ohio native. Coaches Tour is organized by Morale Entertainment, LLC., in association with Armed Forces Entertainment. A KC-135 Stratotanker from McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., was used to fly the coaches overseas. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Jason Schaap)
