Chilling on the flightline

Despite temperatures in the lower teens and a wind chill factor of zero, aircraft maintainers from the 22nd Air Refueling Wing and the Air Force Reserve 931st Air Refueling Group brave the elements on the flightline at McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., on the morning of Feb. 23, 2015. Aircraft maintainers are tasked with generating and recovering aircraft and ensuring the base's KC-135 Stratotankers are mission ready to provide for the air refueling needs of the U.S. Air Force.
