McConnell Reservists ‘fuel’ Thunderbirds’ mission

The U. S. Air Force Thunderbirds Air Demonstration Squadron, fly their F-16 Fighting Falcons in formation near the wing of a KC-135 Stratotanker from McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., Sept. 3, 2015. The KC-135 provided cross-country air refueling support for the Thunderbirds. This past season alone, the 931 ARG flew approximately 20 sorties with the team providing more than 700,000 gallons of fuel to help the team arrive on time to their scheduled shows.
