2017 Military Wingman Family Day

The 931st Air Refueling Wing 2017 Military Wingman Family Day is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017, at McConnell Air Force Base, Kan.This is a day that the Air Force and McConnell AFB has set aside to focus on the Airman, and comradery. The concept of having a wingman goes all the way back to World War I when the armed forces started using planes in combat. Both the Allies and Axis air forces used the concept of never going up alone into dog fight.
