Annual Award banquet recognizes group's top achievers

The 931st Air Refueling Group honored its annual award winners during an awards banquet at the Hyatt, Feb. 9.

Brig. Gen. Kenneth D. Lewis, director of Air Force Reserve Plans, Programs, and Requirements, delivered the keynote address and congratulated the recipients.
 
"We know, and everyone in this room knows, the organization is made of people," Lewis told the audience. "This night is about honoring the contributions of the people who make the organization successful."

The following 931 ARG personnel were named group-level award winners for 2012:

Airman of the Year
Senior Airman Raymond Carr, 931st Civil Engineering Squadron

NCO of the Year
Tech. Sgt. Carrie Van Praag, 931st ARG Staff

Senior NCO of the Year
Master Sgt. Adam Keeter, 931st Maintenance Squadron

First Sergeant
Senior Master Sgt. Willie Tucker, 931st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron

Company Grade Officer
Capt. Chris Markley, 18th Air Refueling Squadron

Civilian
Mrs. Miranda Beyer, 931st Operations Support Squadron

Col. Mark Larson, Commander, 931st Air Refueling Group welcomed the opportunity to be part of his first Annual Awards Banquet since his arrival last August.

"It is truly an honor to be here tonight at this occasion to recognize and honor the outstanding men and women of the 931st who have gone above and beyond in the accomplishment of their duties. These are the Airmen who have consistently gone the extra mile--the members who have gone out of their way to do their job and then some," Larson said.
