Wichita Street Reopens on Base
After eight months of diligent efforts, McConnell Air Force Base has successfully completed the reconstruction of Wichita Street, a significant thoroughfare within the base premises July 28, 2023, at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas. As part of the commitment to environmental stewardship, the reconstruction project incorporated sustainable practices, including the planting of 46 trees and the strategic placement of riprap, a type of rubble, to prevent erosion.
