Larson, commander of the Air Force Reserve 931st Air Refueling Group, McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., presents a framed certificate of appreciation to Senior Airman Ryan McPartland, 931st Maintenance Squadron, prior to a Group staff meeting, Feb. 27, 2013. Larson recognized McPartland for outstanding community service during severe snowstorms that had dumped more than 14 inches of snow on the area during the previous week. McPartland had voluntarily shoveled the sidewalks of his apartment complex the day after the storm so that residents of the apartments could make their way to their vehicles.
