Col. Edsel A. "Archie" Frye Jr., new commander of the 931st Air Refueling Group, speaks to ceremony guests after he took command of the 931st from Col. William T. Cahoon. The change of command ceremony was on May 18, but Colonel Frye did not officially become the 931st's commander until May 25.

Arkansas City fire chief honored for support of Guard, Reserve
Lt. Colonel Jeffrey Pickard, Deputy Commander for Maintenance, 931st ARG presents the Patriot Award to Ken Corcran, fire chief, Arkansas City Fire and EMT. Mr. Corcran was nominated for the award by Staff Sgt. Edward Allred, 931st Civil Engineering Squadron. Colonel Pickard presented the award on behalf of the 931st ARG commander Col. Edsel Frye, and Lieutenant Col. Erin Manning, 931st CES. Sergeant Allred and Colonel Manning are currently deployed.

Lt. Col. Tsuyoshi "T" Tung uses some down time during a mission preflight to brief fellow crewmembers on traditional Japanese clothing called "yukata." The presentation was part of what Colonel Tung declared an Asian-Pacific American Heritage Sortie on May 27.
