GOLDEN WASP
Senior Master Sgt. Pamela Summers, 931st Mission Support Flight, holds the Congressional Gold Medal presented to the members of the Women Air Force Service Pilots for their duty during World War II. Over 1,000 women flew noncombat military missions logging more than 60 million miles in support of the war effort. Their determination to being the best paved the way for women in aviation.

Good Samaritan Award Presentation

Goodwill in Guatemala
Staff Sgt. Crystal Herrington provides dental care for a local woman during a two-week humanitarian mission in Guatemala. Sergeant Herrington is a dental assistant for the 931st Air Refueling Group. She was part of a group of 931st medical personnel who traveled with Airmen from Travis Air Force Base, Calif., to provide care for more than 8,000 Guatemalans in late April and early May (Courtesy photo).

Goodwill in Guatemala
The lines of Guatemalans seeking medical care were described "never ending" by one 931st Aerospace Medicine Flight member who supported the mission there. Airmen from the 931st AMDF spent two weeks in Guatemala supporting New Horizons, an annual series of joint and combined humanitarian assistance exercises that U.S. Southern Command conducts in Latin American and Caribbean nations. The exercises generally take place in rural, underprivileged areas.

Gray Funnel
Master Sgt. Christopher Soto and Airman 1st Class Jesus Ramirez stabilize mock injury victim, Master Sgt.
