Carrying Colorado's Communicators
Senior Airman Joseph Cordova boards a KC-135 Stratotanker that was flown by Reservists from the 931st Air Refueling Group from McConnell Air Force Base, Kan., to pick up Reservists at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. The tanker later delivered more than 20 Reservists from the 302nd Communications Flight at Peterson to Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Airman Cordova is a computer operator assigned to the flight. TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. -- Joseph Brown takes a break from the rigors of living on "Base X." He is the son of Tech. Sgt. John Brown from the 72nd Security Forces Squadron here. Joseph and other children of airmen assigned here participated in Operation KUDOS, designed to help "Kids Understand Deployment Operations." They received briefings, processed through a deployment line, received ID cards and dog tags. CES at work

CFC 2014 is underway
The 2014 Combined Federal Campaign has kicked off at McConnell. Unlike many other campaigns, the main goal for CFC is not a monetary number; instead CFC is aimed at providing 100 percent face-to-face contact with each member of the unit. Last year the team McConnell raised approximately $85,000 in donations.
