Honorary Commander Luncheon
Chief Master Sgt. Honoring the fallen
Members of the 931st Air Refueling Group and the 22nd Air Refueling Wing line the Kansas Street and salute as the hearse carrying Army Sgt. Eric Nettleton passes, Jan. 14. Sergeant Nettleton was killed by an improvised explosive device while serving with the 2nd Stryker Cavalry in Afghanistan. Sergeant Nettleton's brother, Airman 1st Class Clayton Nettleton, serves with the 22nd Air Refueling Wing at McConnell Air Force Base.

Surge boots are rubber-like sleeves that run the fuel tube’s length, used as a way to prevent damage during fuel surges when the boom disconnects from the aircraft after refueling.
