JB Charleston aircraft hits four millionth flight hour for C-17
An Airman from the 791st Airlift Squadron adjusts his harness on a C-17 Globemaster III above North Field North, S.C., Jan. 15, 2021. Joint Base Charleston hosted and executed a ceremonial flight of the C-17 to celebrate the airframe’s four-millionth flying hour. The event was a celebration of the accomplishment and a thank you to Airmen, industry partners and community leaders who made this possible.

Tommy James, 22nd Maintenance Squadron KC-46A Pegasus Repair and Reclamation craftsman, and Crashed, Damaged or Disabled Aircraft Recovery NCOIC, checks the lift bag for proper inflation and stability Sept. 17, 2020, at McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas. The training was part of a week-long CDDAR exercise that involved 15 members from the 22nd and 931st Maintenance Squadrons.
